Bought these for toddler, great height, stay in place very easy to use. I'm using them on a queen and toddler has lots of space.Helps provide peace of mind for a little one that may not be used to a large bed.We moved our 22 month old from her crib to a twin bed. I had ordered a rail, but it doesn't work with our slat twin bed. In fact it looks like basically all rails would be incompatible. I'd seen bumpers advertised to me on Amazon, and decided to at least try them, and I'm really glad I did! Our toddler can be a bit of a flailer and mover in her sleep, so of course I was concerned she'd roll off the bed. Probably wouldn't hurt, but would disrupt her sleep for sure. These bumpers are plenty high enough that she hasn't rolled over them at all. They are soft, which is nice for her and us when we are laying there trying to get her to sleep! Also being lower than a rail has been really nice! We can escape more easily over the side when we get her to sleep, or we can lean over it till she falls asleep and sneak away, we also leave over it when playing with her, and she can even scramble over it when getting on the bed! She could also go around, but she likes climbing over it. It's been almost a week and she hasn't rolled out of bed once, despite moving around a bit. We are very happy with this bumper! We have gotten a few other hiccapop products and been happy with all of them. I will say this bumper takes up some sheet space, a normal kids twin sheet does ok with 1, but you'd definitely need a deeper sheet if you use 2!These are the best bumpers I've used or seen in use. Firstly, they have a lifetime warranty! Even if you have a puppy chew them up or lose them in a house fire (God forbid), they'll replace them w/No questions asked so I highly recommend keeping the box they come in. The silicone matting keeps them from sliding off the bed for quite a good while however, you will have to adjust them occasionally. I find I only need to adjust when I am changing my bedding anyway. If you have a mattress cover on, I recommend putting the bumpers underneath it, if at all possible. If you don't or are unable, you may have to readjust them a little bit more often. I have a king size bed I put these onto & they reach far enough to still be practical & do their job. Regardless of bed size, you'll find that you will likely need fitted sheets which have deep pockets, to accommodate how high they stick up. But going up another sheet size may also work. The product has no weird smell, are extremely durable & I highly recommend them.Eases my anxiety! It is tough to put under bed sheet. Otherwise, love!Just what I was looking for to keep my granddaughter safe in a regular bed. The foam is very firm and dense and she won’t accidentally roll over it and off the bed. However, As previous review stated, I had to steam them to get them to expand. After several hours they hadn’t raised much. Then steamed them, they popped right up.Oh, my son. My brave, fearless daredevil. Back in June, we moved into a new home in a better neighborhood for our children to grow up in. The first night we spent in the house, my son decided we wanted to climb out of his crib. As you can imagine, as a mother, I was terrified and immediately installed the toddler rails on my son’s crib. This was fabulous for a bit, but my son moves like a crazy man when he sleeps so my husband and I would wake up to the thud of his head against the toddler rail. My son even woke up with little bruises from the rails. As a family, we decided it was time to move our son into a “real big boy bed” a.k.a. the queen size bed we had set up in the guest room. For a few weeks, we spoke to my son about the move and spent time picking out his new sheets and décor. He was super exited. The last thing we had to do was get something to make sure he didn’t fall out of the bed, since it was set up for an adult and rather high. I never liked the look or feeling of the mesh-wrapped toddler rails. They seemed so cage-like to me (my personal preference!). So I did a little searching on the good ol’ internet and came across a few different options that ranged from inflatables to pool noodles (interesting concept but definitely not keeping my active sleeper in the bed). Then I found the foam bed bumpers. Some came in pieces and others in one. By far the most appealing was the Hiccapop Foam Bed Bumpers. They advertised a set of 2 non-toxic washable foam bumpers with waterproof covers and a non-skid bottom. This sounded right up our alley so I quickly ordered them through Amazon Prime and received them in 2 days. When they arrived in a small box I was extremely disappointed because I didn’t think they were going to be high enough or stiff enough to keep my son in his bed. Let me tell you, I was so wrong. I took those rails out of the box and within minutes they puffed up to the correct size and my son was in love (needless to say, so was I). While my son preferred trying to run around the house with one and scare my poor Chihuahua, I was excited to see what these puppies looked like in my son’s new bed. You literally could not find something easier to put in the bed. I simply lifted my son’s new rocketship fitted sheet and slipped the bumper along the top edge of the bed, and put the fitted sheet back on. It was that easy. After chasing down my son with the other bumper, I repeated the same on the opposite side of the bed. They were super soft, almost like a memory foam material and they seemed high enough to keep my son in, but only night would tell. And did it ever. These bumpers are a game changer! My son was tucked safely between these perfectly sized pieces of foam. No thuds of a bumping head, no bruises, no problems! While my son still moves all over the place in the bed, he never once came close to falling out. He often rests his head on the bumpers like an extra pillow. I definitely recommend it for anyone transitioning their children to a new “big kid” bed or for those who are tired of the look and touch of traditional toddler rails!
