We were pleasantly surprised and impressed by the quality of this bed at this price! Overall quality is excellent. Nothing arrived damaged. The instructions could be a tiny bit more clear, but that's mainly because this bed configuration is part of a modular system, so it can be built and reconfigured many different ways. That being said, I built it entirely myself in about 3 hours, including lifting the top bunk onto the bottom without assistance. I would recommend for most people to get a second person for that step though. Hardware is good, finish is good, construction is good. You'll save a lot of time if you get a hex/allen bit and a cordless drill. Also, be aware that there are wood screws that look a lot like the machine screws, so don't mix those up.
