I bought a bed with front drawers. Had 2 "slats" to place mattress support. I went to a place explained what I had. Paid close to $300 for one of the metal boxes. Didn't work because no room for drawers. Left foot of frame off and set directly on floor. Couldn't easily make bed cuz sunk in frame. Took a chance on this PERFECT!! It's a little taller than needed but clears drawers and that can be hidden by bed comforter, mattress is up and actually feels more supportive, fit right inside frame of my bed. Easy to put together, would recommend two people but can be done by one. I did and took me just about an hour.by myself not counting my struggle to get mattress removed and tear down old frame. Wish I did this first but t didn't trust myself
